Primary end use of spandex are:-

Bare spandex yarn:Used in circular knitting,warp knitting, lace, narrow fabrics It is notsuggested to use directly on weaving looms.

Core spun yarn: bare spandex yarn is the core, covered by one or more kind of staple fiber (cotton, wool, T/C, polyester etc.), then spinning into yarn. Core spun yarn is often used in woven, knitting, narrow belt, leisure wear, underwear etc.

Covering yarn: include mechanical covering yarn and air jet covering yarn. Mechanic covering yarn includes single covering yarn and double covering yarn. Covering yarn is used in woven, weft knitting, hosiery and denims.

Spandex yarn advisory:-

Temperature and humidity: Spandex application and storage prefers cooler temperature and controlled humidity. The recommended temperature is 25±5°C with the humidity of 65±5%; In order to decrease yarn breakage and get better processing effect, spandex cakes should be in the production room(which could be warmer) for over 24 hours to condition them.

Draft :Avoid excessive draft. Too much draft will cause breaks and lower the quality of fabric. So adopt the proper draft to achieve the most desirable quality effect

Recommended heat setting temperatures of spandex yarn with polyester, nylon and cotton.
